First Day School’s Día de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) Celebration
Also known as the Feast of All Souls. All are invited to join in this beautiful observance of remembering and rejoicing those who have passed on. Please bring any pictures, stories, remembrances that you would like to share.
Día de los Muertos has become a national holiday in Mexico. Its history comes from Egypt to Spain to Mexico and now it is becoming a worldwide celebration. In parts of Mexico, it is a three day observance beginning October 31st through November 2nd.
It is a day of joyful and glorious remembrance through food, music, dancing, parades, art work, flowers (marigolds primarily), poetry, and happy memories.
Workday! After Meeting for Worship on November 3rd, we will also have Workday, mainly for window washing and leaf raking.
Annual Thanksgiving Morning Meeting for Worship and Post-Worship Brunch
