Proper maintenance of the meetinghouse and grounds was continued in the Spring and Summer of 2026. Windows and gables were repaired and painted in matching colors. The missing piece of the rosette from the south door trim was fabricated and painted with color matching paint. Exterior crown molding was repaired.
The tall, over 150 year-old maple tree at the rear of the meetinghouse was removed. Its heart was completely rotted. A strong storm might have caused it to fall on the building.
A large nest of carpenter ants was found in the oak tree at the east end of the building and in two additional trees. Carpenter ants were also found in the meetinghouse. The trees and the meetinghouse were treated by Sunset Pest Solutions. The exterminator visited again in July and will follow up as necessary.
Enclosure of part of the carriage shed to create more storage space is planned for the Fall.
