We welcome all people irrespective of sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, ethnicities, race, cultural and religious traditions, and/or abilities.
Quakers – members of the Religious Society of Friends – support peace, social equality, and human rights. These core values are remembered by the acronym SPICES: Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality, and Stewardship.
Quakers oppose war by conscientious objection. Conscientious objectors perform hospital work, conservation, sanitation, and local community infrastructure projects.
Quakers support immigration handling through correct legal procedures, abiding by constitutional rights during an enforcement encounter, and by ensuring accurate documentation. Regional Quaker groups – including Philadelphia, New York, New Baltimore, and New England Yearly Meetings – successfully sued the Federal Government to prevent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from raiding specific plaintiff’s religious spaces without a judicial warrant or emergency circumstances.
